Acupuncture

Acupuncture works with a meridian system that runs throughout the body — pathways where nerves, lymphatic vessels, mast cells, capillaries, and muscles also travel in close proximity. This overlap is no coincidence. It's part of why acupuncture has been studied so extensively in modern research, and why the results consistently hold up. Biochemically, when an acupuncture needle is inserted into a point, it stimulates the sensory receptor there, which in turn stimulates the nerve, which then transmits impulses to the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal system.

This feedback loop between the brain, hormones, and glands is responsible for regulating a number of critical bodily processes — from inflammation and immune function to sleep, digestion, and hormonal balance. Because acupuncture works at the level of the nervous system, it doesn't just treat symptoms in isolation. It helps regulate the various feedback loops that govern how your body functions as a whole — which is what actually allows your body to heal itself of whatever is wrong. That self-healing capacity is what makes acupuncture unlike nearly every other medical system in existence. It doesn't override the body. It works with it.

At The Holistic Co, this ancient medicine is practiced through an East Meets West lens — meaning the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine is paired with the precision of functional medicine and modern diagnostics. Pattern recognition from thousands of years of clinical observation, combined with lab work, optimal health markers, and root-cause investigation. It's not one or the other. It's both, working together, in service of you as a whole person — not just the symptom that brought you in.
This is also why acupuncture has endured as a complete system of medicine for over 5,000 years — not because it's trendy, but because it works. And modern science is finally catching up to explain why.

Brazilian Lymphatic Massage

The lymphatic system is a network of vessels that runs throughout the body, carrying fluid that clears waste, fights infection, and keeps inflammation in check. Unlike the circulatory system, it has no pump of its own — it relies entirely on movement, breath, and outside pressure to keep flowing. When that flow slows down, fluid and waste can build up in the tissue, leading to swelling, puffiness, and a sluggish, heavy feeling in the body.

Brazilian lymphatic massage takes a more dynamic approach to moving that fluid than traditional lymphatic drainage. Where classic manual lymphatic drainage uses very light, slow strokes, the Brazilian technique combines firmer pressure with rhythmic, sweeping movements —often incorporating elements of myofascial work — to stimulate the lymphatic system more vigorously while also addressing the fascia and connective tissue beneath the skin. This is why the results tend to be felt and seen more dramatically.

In addition to supporting the body's own filtration and detoxification process, this more dynamic technique also helps smooth and contour the tissue, leaving the body feeling lighter, less congested, and more sculpted. It's the difference between gently encouraging fluid to move and actively inviting it to.

Coaching

The brain is wired to default to familiar patterns, even when thosepatterns no longer serve us — it's simply more energy-efficient torepeat what's known than to build something new. Coaching worksdirectly with this wiring.

Through reflective questions, accountability, and a structured but flexible framework, coaching helps interruptdefault patterns long enough for a new one to take root. It isn'ttherapy, and it isn't advice-giving — it's a collaborative process thattrusts you already have the answers inside you.

The work is simplycreating enough clarity and support for those answers to come forward, and enough consistency for real, lasting change to actually stick.

Energy Work

Every living thing generates an electromagnetic field — it's why a heartbeat shows up on an ECG and brain activity shows up on an EEG. Energy work operates within this field, using intentional touch, focused presence, and various healing modalities to help restore balance to the body's natural energetic state.

While the mechanisms are still being studied at a scientific level, what is consistently documented is energy work's effect on the nervous system: sessions reliably activate the parasympathetic, or "rest and digest," state —lowering heart rate, reducing cortisol, and shifting the body out of fight-or-flight. This matters more than it might sound like.

The body can only truly heal when it feels safe, and the parasympathetic state is the biological doorway to that safety.

Whether through Reiki, Universal White Time Healing, or other energy-based approaches, this work doesn't force anything — it simply gives the nervous system permission to stop bracing, so the body's own repair systems can finally get to work.

Feminine Embodiment

So much of how we move through the world is shaped by the mind —
thinking our way through stress, performance, and expectation.

Feminine embodiment work flips that direction. Instead of thinking your way into
a feeling, you feel your way into knowing — using breath, movement, and body awareness to reconnect with intuition, sensuality, and a sense of
safety in your own skin.

This isn't about becoming someone new. It's
about remembering a way of being that often gets buried under years of doing, performing, and holding it together. The body already knows the
way back.

This work simply makes space for that knowing to surface.

Functional Nutrition

Functional Nutrition is a personalized, root-cause approach to health. Instead of only treating symptoms, it focuses on understanding why those symptoms are happening in the first place — because every person is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all solution.

Functional nutrition looks at how body systems work together, considering factors like nutrition, gut health, hormones, genetics, sleep, stress, environmental exposures, and lifestyle to uncover the underlying causes of illness. And unlike conventional nutrition, which often asks "what diet fits this diagnosis," functional nutrition asks something deeper: what is actually happening in this body, and why.

These systems don't operate in silos — they constantly influence each other. A blood sugar imbalance can disrupt hormones. Gut inflammation can affect mood and energy. Chronic stress can impair nutrient absorption. By identifying what's actually driving symptoms rather than managing them individually, functional nutrition aims to help the body return to a state where it can regulate itself.

Perhaps most importantly, this work is as much about prevention as it is about healing. The goal isn't only to address what's already gone wrong — it's to understand the trajectory your body is on and course-correct before disease has the chance to take hold. Because the best time to support your health is always before you need to.

Holistic Skin Care

Sacred Roots was cultivated to bring rest and restoration to your sacred temple — and to empower you to find your inner healer. The invitation is simple: take a deep breath, step out of the hectic world around you, and into a place of self-love. You are already whole. You are already holy. This work simply helps you remember that.

Holistic skincare at The Holistic Co is nervous-system-supportive by design — because skin health isn't only about what you put on your face. The tissue beneath the surface, its circulation, its lymphatic drainage, its connective structure, determines how skin actually looks and feels over time. Skin is the body's largest organ, and it reflects what's happening internally — from hormone shifts to gut health to stress levels. Treating it as a window into the whole system, rather than a surface to fix, is what makes this work different.

Every treatment is personalized for what you need that day, using organic, plant-based nutrients chosen to support the skin barrier rather than strip it. Techniques like gua sha and facial massage stimulate circulation and lymphatic drainage at the surface, while the nervous system support woven throughout each session creates the kind of deep rest where real healing happens.

Daily skin rituals are encouraged beyond the treatment room, with products and tools available to carry the work home — because reconnecting with your body doesn't end when the session does.

This is skincare as self-love. As reconnection. As coming home to yourself.

Neveskin™ Classic

Neve Skin™ Classic, formerly known as Cryoskin 3.0, is a revolutionary device that uses precise heating and cooling to naturally shape, tone, and tighten the body — improving physique, maintaining healthy radiant skin, and reducing circumference through the activation of connective tissue. No suction, no surgery, no downtime. Just results.

The treatment works through two distinct approaches. Shape sessions use precise heating and cooling delivered through a specialized massage wand to target localized areas — the abdomen, thighs, arms, back, chin, or hips — naturally tightening and firming the skin and promoting a more defined appearance.

Tone sessions use cold massage to smooth, lift, and firm the skin at the surface, reducing the appearance of imperfections and improving overall texture. The rapid alternation of cold application and the warming of the skin from the technician's hand creates a cycle of vasoconstriction and vasodilation — temporarily increasing local blood circulation and stimulating the production of collagen and elastin in areas that have lost elasticity.

Each session lasts about 30 minutes and is performed entirely through manual massage technique. It's pain-free, completely non-invasive, and feels exactly like what it is — a massage. The first results are generally visible after the first session, with at least five sessions typically recommended for optimal and lasting change. Skin health that you can see and feel, from the outside in.

Optimal Labs

At The Holistic Co, we are self-proclaimed optimal lab work nerds — and for good reason. Labs tell a beautiful story. They give us tangible data to work with, and they are an integral piece of the puzzle when working with herbs, supplementation, and any course of treatment. Ideally, we look at every client's labs before any course of care begins.
But here's what most people don't know: looking at labs from an optimal range is drastically different than what you're used to seeing at your annual physical.

The reference ranges your doctor uses are based on a statistical analysis of the population — an average taken from everyone getting labs, which then becomes the marker's range. The problem is that age, underlying health conditions, and medications are not factored in. And unfortunately, our population is sicker than it ever has been. So the question becomes: is that really the standard you want to measure your health against?

Optimal ranges are what we use here. Not "not sick yet" — but truly thriving. A comprehensive panel of markers — hormones, nutrients, metabolic function, inflammation, thyroid, and more — interpreted against ranges associated with how the body actually functions at its best. Combined with an East Meets West framework that bridges the patterns of Traditional Chinese Medicine with what the data shows, this level of analysis allows for a precision and personalization that standard care rarely offers. Because knowing your numbers is only useful if you know what they actually mean for you.

Optimal lab work analysis is available for current clients as part of the holistic work we do together. Reach out to learn more — we'd love to connect.

Restore Room

The Restore Room was built around a simple truth: healing requires the right environment, and that environment is hard to create at home.Between the demands of daily life and the constant stimulation of modern living, real stillness — the kind the nervous system actually needs to repair — has become genuinely rare.

Inside the Restore Room, four carefully chosen tools work individually and together to support full-body recovery: a Relaxe Caldera full spectrum infrared sauna with LumaPanel™ red light therapy built in, Normatec dynamic compression for the legs and hips, and a Merach vibration plate to warm up circulation and prime the body before heat.

Every tool was chosen intentionally — not for novelty, but because the research supports what they do. Whether you come in depleted, inflamed, or simply in need of an hour that belongs entirely to you, the RestoreRoom meets you exactly where you are. Deepen your healing in the Restore Room.

Sports Massage

Muscle tissue holds onto more than just tension — repetitive movement, old injuries, and overuse create adhesions and restrictions in the fascia that surrounds and connects every muscle in the body.

Sports
massage works directly with this tissue, using targeted pressure and movement-based techniques to break up those restrictions, improve range of motion, and accelerate recovery between training sessions.

It's a
more active, results-driven approach than relaxation massage — built for bodies that are asking a lot of themselves and need support keeping up. The goal isn't just to feel better on the table. It's to move
better, recover faster, and stay in the game longer.

Therapy

Therapy at The Holistic Co is offered by a licensed psychotherapist providing individual psychotherapy — in person, online, or a hybrid of both, whatever works best for you.

This is evidence-based mental health treatment, not coaching. That distinction matters. Psychotherapy incorporates your history, your patterns, and your present-day experience to help you gain real insight and develop meaningful strategies for moving forward. It can be short or long term depending on your needs, and it is provided by a licensed clinician with advanced education, regulatory board oversight, and specified clinical training.

The concerns most commonly supported include anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and support through major life changes. There is also specialized experience working with young adults across all aspects of the gender and sexuality spectrum.

This is a deeply LGBTQ+ affirming practice — not simply accepting. Accepting implies tolerance. Affirming means you will be celebrated, believed, and valued in every session.

Not sure whether therapy or another offering at The Holistic Co is the right fit for where you are right now? A free consultation is available to help you find your footing. There are no wrong answers — only the next right step for you.
